About Us

Caribbeank9 is a family run operation situated in New Providence, Bahamas. The president and training director, Dwight Higgins, has been training dogs for 20 years. Dwight first began his apprenticeship with Abel Montejo at Kendal K9 in South Miami, Florida in 1987. During that time intensive training lead him to do protection dog demonstrations for the Miami Dade South Campus and to Panama for the Panamanian Military.

Dwight graduated in 1989. Dwight competed in AKC obedience in Florida and titled his first Belgian Tervuren in 1990. Since that time, dog training for Dwight has been a love affair.
